Dreams are the soul’s quiet rebellion against the weight of reality.

What if you could step inside the story you're writing?
Mythic Dreams is an immersive fiction-writing experience that explores what happens when we move between conscious craft and subconscious discovery.
Through guided hypnosis, imaginative exploration, dreamwork, and writing, you'll step into the world you're creating and see it in ways you never thought possible.
Let’s be clear
This workshop isn’t about asking your subconscious to write your book for you, and it's not dream interpretation in the traditional sense.
Mythic Dreams is a workshop intented to teach you, the creator of a brilliant universe, how to temporarily step away from the question of what happens next and create space for another more interesting question:
What or who else is here?
Within the realm of your subconscious, you have the ability to meet your characters, engage with them, and perhaps discover that the plans you had for them—or the central core of who they are—are more than you initially thought.
You might discover a setting you didn't know existed, or a conflict you hadn't considered.
The story you imagined may spin off in a completely different direction, inspired by a song, a symbol, or some strange little detail that appears in the landscape of forgotten dreams.
Then the real magic happens.
How It Works
We'll begin with guided hypnosis and imaginative exploration, creating space for familiar characters, landscapes, objects, sensations, memories, symbols, questions, or something that makes absolutely no sense.
The exciting part is, it doesn’t NEED to make sense now.
During the guided hypnosis, we'll capture what emerged for you, and begin looking for the pieces that catch your attention.
What surprised you?
What felt important?
Who showed up?
What didn't make sense?
What are you suddenly curious about?
Then, we bring it back to the page.
You'll use what you've discovered to generate scenes, character material, dialogue, world-building, conflicts, possibilities, or entirely new questions about your story.
This is where subconscious exploration meets actual craft.
Your subconscious gets to contribute.
You get the final edit.
The Three Realms
Mythic Dreams explores the creative process through three interconnected realms:
Spirit- The symbolic, intuitive, strange, and transcendent dimensions of imagination.
Story- The characters, worlds, myths, conflicts, relationships, and narratives you're creating.
Self- The memories, emotions, desires, experiences, and associations that inevitably find their way into our stories.
We'll move between all three.
You Don't Have to Be an Experienced Writer
Whether you've always wanted to publish, but never finished a novel, or you've already published ten.
If you're stuck halfway through a manuscript, or have a killer character but no plot. Maybe you have a plot but your characters refuse to cooperate.
Maybe you've been writing the same kind of story for years and want to see what happens when you try something new.
You don't need previous experience with hypnosis, dreamwork, mythology, or any kind of “woo.”
Mythic Dreams is for fiction writers of all levels and genres.
Curiosity is the only prerequisite.
What You'll Bring
Bring a fiction project, character, story idea, troublesome plot point, or creative question you'd like to explore.
You don't need a finished manuscript.
You don't even need a fully developed story.
A half-formed idea or a weird dream is enough.
Bring something to write with, something comfortable to wear, and an openness to being surprised by your own imagination.
The Author Is Still the Author
At every point, you're the one deciding what belongs in your story.
The purpose of Mythic Dreams is to give you another way of exploring the landscape you've already created, and another way of discovering what might be hiding just beyond the edges of what you consciously planned.
The starting point may be familiar, the trope may be tried and true, but the adventure built around it?
That can be completely unique.
